How Often Should You Train?
I get asked a lot, how often should you train.

The simple answer is: we recommend 3 sessions a week from the start. 3 classes a week of a well-balanced program at relative high-intensity is enough for busy working adults to start seeing progress in their fitness and health.

Our experience is that our clients feel and see results in no more than 3 months from starting their journey. Hence our “FIRST90” intro program is exactly 90 days.

With confidence I can say our members who just keep showing up 3 times per week and follow their coaches guidelines during these 3 months, are guaranteed to improve their mood, energy, sleep and feel stronger.

What is a well balanced program?

Quite simply: what we do. A good mixture of movements for strength, movements for your mobility, and movements for your heart health. No bias towards either of them and always varied so you never get bored of doing the same thing over and over. With the aim in most classes of a total body workout, legs, core, and the shoulders will all have a chance to get stronger together.

What is relative high intensity?

Exercise that pushes you to the right level of discomfort, just slightly outside your comfort zone. This can be different on any given day, some days just showing up will push you outside your comfort zone, on others you can really find the your edge and push past limits.

The good thing is our team of expert coaches will always be next to you and help you find the right intensity for that day. They will happily even modify any element of the workout to suit you.

Is 3 days enough?

Ideally, you are moving every day. This can be a good walk outside, some stretching, playing a hobby or messing with your kids – these are all important parts of a healthy and sustainable routine.

We believe 3 training sessions at relative high-intensity will bring results for years to come. Our method doesn’t focus on adding more training volume, but as you become more experienced you will be able to increase YOUR relative intensity. Meaning you can perform more work in the same amount of time. And that is CrossFit. Adding more sessions at low intensity will not bring the same results and will only reduce your chances of recovering between classes.
